Since my childhood I was in love with the medical field observing my doctor parents follow their profession religiously and serving the rural section of the society.
By the end of my high school, I was pretty determined to be a dentist even though my parents wanted me to be a physician. With my hard work I got my way and became a dentist in India.
I really enjoyed the clinical work during Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and internship in India which reinforced my belief that dentistry is the right path for me.
After my marriage I moved to Houston, Texas and found my dental career stuck as the dental school here didn’t have a regular advanced standing program for international dentists. After that I focused on getting a dental hygiene degree as the next best alternative to being a dentist.
I entered the dental hygiene program at HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences and immediately felt that I was on the right track. This was a very rigorous program with high standards and I was impressed by the instructors’ attention to the quality of clinical work. uring the program I volunteered at dental community clinics such as Healthcare for Homeless, San Jose dental clinic, and Ibn Sina and performed procedures like sealants and SRPs, and prophylaxes. After graduation in 2015 I joined Almeda Dental Clinic (Houston) as a full time registered dental hygienist. The experience there was extremely rewarding and I worked almost a year.
I took voluntary break for family purposes for three years.
I resumed working as a temporary dental hygienist in June 2019. joined the practice of Dr. Anna Munne DDS. PA and associates in Sept. 2019 as a full time Registered Dental Hygienist. admire the positive working atmosphere and couldn’t have asked for a better place to work at.
I cherish giving back to the community by working as a volunteer. work as a dental hygienist at San Jose dental clinic.I am a dog lover and one day a week I volunteer at Houston Humane Society. During the weekend I enjoying spending time with my husband and two little kids. I try my best to make a fine balance between work and family time and enjoy every role immensely.
